Man Tries To Abduct Girl In Queens Parking Lot, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who grabbed a girl's arm in a Queens parking lot on Thursday, authorities said.
QUEENS VILLAGE, NY — Police are searching for a man who tried to abduct a girl in a grocery store parking lot in Queens on Thursday, authorities said.
The little girl, who the New York Daily News reports is about 12-years-old, was waiting in the parking lot near a Key Foods grocery store located at 213-22 Jamaica Ave., according to authorities. The man grabbed the girl's arm and said to her in Spanish "You're coming with me" at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, police said in a tweet. The man tried to pull the girl away from her mother but was unsuccessful, police said. He ran westbound on Jamaica Avenue and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, according to the NYPD.
Police were still searching for the man on Friday afternoon, and asked for the public's help in identifying and locating him. An NYPD spokeswoman did not immediately have more information on the incident.
