Police: Baldwin Man Arrested For Burglary
Moziy, 33, was found leaving a house with safe and screwdriver, police say.

Matthew Moziy, 33, of 721 North William Street, Baldwin, was arrested for burglary on Nov. 20, police said.
The incident happened in Baldwin at 11: 17 a.m., the First Squad reported.
According to detectives, a 16-year-old female ran out of her Baldwin residence and called 911 after hearing noises coming from a locked bedroom when no one else was at home. First Precinct police officers responded and upon arrival searched the home, then then went to the rear yard when they observed the Moziy exiting the rear door, carrying a safe and a screwdriver. The officers placed Moziy in police custody without incident, and no injuries were reported.

Moziy was charged with second degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Nov. 21.
