Deadly 2-Car Crash On Meadowbrook Parkway: State Police
The collision happened on Sunday morning near Exit 5.
EAST MEADOW, NY — A man was killed in a two-car crash over the weekend on the Meadowbrook Parkway, state police said.
At approximately 11:39 a.m. on Sunday, Jose Cruz Nunez was traveling northbound on the highway near Exit 5 (Hempstead Turnpike) when he struck another vehicle, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, state troopers said.

Nunez was 38 years old and a resident of Hempstead, Newsday said.
The operator of the vehicle he struck had no injuries. The collision caused the closure of all northbound lanes on Sunday afternoon, police said.
