NORTH HEMPSTEAD, NY — Residents are reminded landscaping regulations are back in an effect in the Town of North Hempstead.

Starting on Sunday, and running through Sept. 15, it's aimed at reducing noise and air pollution from gas-powered leaf blowers.

Commercial landscaping is permitted between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. Landscaping is not allowed on Sundays and holidays. However, these restrictions may be suspended during emergencies.
