Cops Need Your Help IDing Suspects In Destructive Rampage At Playland
The trio arrived on the Playland beach in a small boat a little before midnight, before climbing a fence to enter the amusement park.

RYE, NY — There was nothing playful about the late night burglary and vandalism spree at a historic Westchester County attraction.
The Westchester County Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying three suspects who entered the Playland amusement park overnight on Sept. 23 and left a path of destruction in their wake.

The trio arrived on the Playland beach in a small boat a little before midnight. Then, they climbed a fence to enter the amusement area. The intruders vandalized an electrical room, cutting or ripping out fiber optic cables for phone and internet service, according to police. The trespassers stole 200 stuffed animals, which they hauled away in garbage bags, and then, police say, the trio attempted, and failed, to throw a photo booth off the boardwalk into the sea.
