• Rye Police arrest Suffern man for driving while high on drugs (cityreviewnr.com) — Rye residents reported an erratic Audi on Forest Avenue near Playland Parkway, leading police to arrest a Suffern man on suspicion of driving while impaired by drugs. Officers say he failed field sobriety tests, was processed at Rye Police Headquarters, and released on an appearance ticket for City of Rye Court. Lab analysis of his urine samples is pending.
   

• Rye Country Day Vows to Probe Swastika Found on Campus, Take ‘Appropriate Action' (ryerecord.com) — Rye Country Day School is investigating a swastika found this week on a campus walkway and has promised serious disciplinary action and added education for students. School leaders stressed support for Jewish families and said hateful behavior has no place in the community. Rye police noted the incident wasn’t reported to them and that no hate crimes have been logged in the city this year.
   

• ‘The Play': Carson Miller and Henry Shoemaker Break Down Their Pass Completion for the Ages (ryerecord.com) — Rye High’s football team sealed its latest state championship with a spectacular third-and-16 play, a 68-yard touchdown connection from quarterback Carson Miller to receiver Henry Shoemaker. The lifelong friends, both Harvard-bound, described how that moment captured their season-long resilience. Fans in Syracuse’s dome knew then the Garnets’ fifth state title was in hand.
