Letter to the Editor: Leadership Change at Sachem Little League

To the Sachem Little League Community ...

Last night March 5, 2012, I informed the Executive Board that this would be my Final season as President of Sachem Little League. I tendered my resignation effective June 5, 2012. My son is in his Final season of Little League and it's time to bring in new, passionate individuals with fresh ideas, to lead the future of our Organization. 

I feel privileged to have served my community as President and I am thankful to all of you who have Supported me and my amazing Little League Board of Directors. During my tenure we saw enrollment increase, the adaption of MLB type uniforms for our children and the installment of professional Umpires for our more Competitive age groups. My focus now is preparing for the upcoming season.

I am pleased to announce last night the Board of Directors unanimously elected Fred Forgione as my successor. Fred has been a Sachem Little League Board member the past few years, has held numerous positions on the Board and I feel is ready to lead Sachem Little League’s bright future. I anticipate a very smooth transition and will assist Fred in any way I can.

I know under his guidance and with the help of all the wonderful people of the Sachem community we will keep Sachem Little League as always.
