LI Resident Reports Home Fire Caused By Lightning Strike: Police
It started at around 11:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve, and multiple fire departments were called to the scene, Suffolk police say.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Dozens of first responders were called to the scene of a Lake Ronkonkoma home after a resident reported lightning struck the house, causing a fire on New Year's Eve, Suffolk police said.
The fire broke out at the Holbrook Road home at around 11:30 p.m., according to police.
Firefighters from "multiple fire departments" extinguished the fire, police said.
