Long Island Gas Station Clerk Robbed At Gunpoint, 2 Arrested: Police

The duo were nabbed a short time later in a nearby neighborhood, Suffolk police say.

YAPHANK, NY — Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed hold-up at a gas station in Yaphank on Friday, Suffolk police said.

Marion Maupin and Raiquan Davis robbed an employee of Shell on Sills Road at around 7:30 a.m. and were found by officers a short time later on Wilson Avenue in Coram, police said, adding that the gun used in the robbery was also found.

Detectives from the 2nd Squad in Huntington charged Maupin, 32, of Altoona, PA, and Davis, 27, of Medford, with first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a firearm, and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm.

Maupin was additionally charged with first-degree criminal use of a firearm.

The pair will be held overnight at the 6th Precinct in Selden, police said.

Maupin pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip and his bail was set at $100,000, $200,000 insured bond, or $1 million partially secured surety bond, online court records show.

Davis' arraignment information was not available.
