Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Suffolk Crash: Police

The crash took place Sunday afternoon, police say.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a Holtsville crash Sunday afternoon, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place on Long Island Avenue, at the intersection of Waverly Avenue, at 12:50 p.m. Annalynn Wood-Gruber, 21, of Holtsville, was driving a 2010 Honda sedan westbound on Long Island Avenue when she attempted to make a lefthand turn onto Waverly Avenue and collided with the driver of a 2013 Honda motorcycle, heading east, police said.

The driver of the motorcycle, Antonio Argueta, 52, of Bellport, was transported via ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries; Wood-Gruber was not injured, police said.

No charges were filed in the crash.
