  1. An East Setauket man was sentenced to three to six years in prison for a Long Beach crash that left a passenger seriously injured. William Byrus, age 29, drove over 80 mph in Long Beach while high on marijuana and Xanax before crashing in 2020. (Daily Voice)
  2. A house fire in Selden was extinguished without any injuries reported. The fire erupted at a home on South Bicycle Path around 9 p.m. Friday. (News 12)
  3. News 12 explains that some experts are hopeful the Suffolk County woman who has Long Island's first confirmed Omicron case shows good news. The 67-year-old who visited South Africa was fully vaccinated with a recent booster and has only mild symptoms. (News 12)
