Sachem Central School District students stepped into the role of teachers during the district’s first Parent Band Night at Chippewa Elementary School. Teachers and parents were taught to play instruments by their children and High School East members of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. They participated in two rehearsals before putting on a concert for their children.

Parents were excited to see their students apply what they’ve learned during music class and lessons when teaching them how to play several instruments. Not only was it a bonding experience for children and their parents, the event brought the Sachem school music community together for a new, engaging experience.
