The Islanders will suspend play this week because of COVID-19 cases. The Smith Point holiday light show kicks off tonight. And Black Friday was quiet this year at local stores.

1. RiverheadLOCAL reports that this year's Black Friday seemed quiet. Tanger Outlets in Riverhead was one place that was quiet, but many other big box stores didn't see long lines and traffic. (RiverheadLOCAL)
2. Ana Borruto has details on the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County' holiday Smith Point Light Show which starts tonight. The drive-thru experience begins at 5 p.m. and will run until Jan. 9.(GreaterBayShore)
3. Greater Sayville checks out the return of Sayville's movie theater. On a chilly night, Sayville Cinemas received a warm welcome back to the community. After 20 months of being closed, the independent theater reopened last week with a screening of “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” (GreaterSayville)
