They constructed their towers in early March and planted a variety of leafy greens while maintaining water nutrients and pH levels throughout April. The culmination of this hands-on learning experience was harvesting their produce with a “salad celebration.”

Wenonah cafeteria staff created a salad medley using bibb and gourmet romaine lettuces, rainbow Swiss chard, kale and arugula greens. The salad celebration aligned with Earth Day and students were excited to taste the fruits of their labor.
