  1. A ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurated the new assisted living facility in Kings Park. Over 100 beds are now available for eligible senior citizens in the area, according to an article in the Long Island Press.   2. St. James Episcopal Church is hosting the "Books and Things" today! The community can stop by between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to check unique items for a great value.   3. Do you recognize him? Police seek the public's help to identify a shoplifter. The suspect stole $565 worth of clothing items from the Marshalls at 6A Henry St. in Commack. The center needs community support to keep up the excellent work of rescuing wild animals and giving them a permanent home. The beauty of the center is the children who are regular visitors.
