17-Year-Old Kills Ex-Girlfriend, Then Shoots Himself In Nesconset: Police
The teen' parents called 911 after the shooting unfolded late Wednesday morning, police say.
NESCONSET, NY — A 17-year-old teen shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and then shot himself at a Nesconset home on Wednesday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Officers responded to a home on Shenandoah Blvd. North at around 11:10 a.m. after the teen’s parents called 911, police said.
Emily Finn, 18, of West Sayville, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The 17-year-old, whose name is being withheld due to his age, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police say Finn had recently ended the relationship over the phone and went to the 17-year-old’s home to speak with him in person and return items to him.

When Finn arrived, the teen took out a shotgun and opened fire, police said. His parents were outside the home when the shooting occurred.
The 17-year-old will be charged with second-degree murder and arraigned at a later date, police said.
