• Smithtown Robotics Team showcases leadership through mentorship (tbrnewsmedia.com) — Smithtown students in the Robotics Team are making their mark through global mentorship and local STEM outreach, including guiding a team from Botswana in the FIRST Global Challenge. They also host G.I.R.L.S. Night in Smithtown to empower middle and high school girls in robotics, building leadership, communication, and technical skills that benefit the whole community.
   

• Top 20 private and prep school girls basketball players (newsday.com) — Smithtown hoops fans can cheer on junior guard Annalyn Loiacono, the key player for Smithtown Christian and one of Long Island’s top private-school girls basketball standouts. She averaged 16.7 points last season despite frequent double teams, earning recognition alongside stars from Long Island Lutheran, Portledge, and Stony Brook School.
