2 Smithtown Quarterbacks Make Newsday's Top List

The quarterbacks were named to the outlet's Top 100 High School Football Players for 2022.

SMITHTOWN, NY — Two Smithtown quarterbacks were recognized by Newsday, according to the Smithtown Central School District.

Quarterbacks Brayden Stahl of Smithtown High School West and Tom Azzara of Smithtown High School East were named to Newsday's Top 100 High School Football Players for 2022.

Stahl passed for 1,181 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore. He also rushed for three scores.

Azzara is a team captain and passed for 1,023 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
