- Have you heard that a Wegmans Supermarket is coming to Long Island? The store is expected to open in 2024 in Lake Grove! The Village of Lake Grove has approved the grocery store to be set up at the DSW Plaza on Middle Country Road. (Smithtown Patch)

- A blood drive is happening today at Smithtown High School East! If you can, help save lives and stop by between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at 10 School St., Saint James. The NYBC encourages all to donate and help with the shortage crisis. According to the center, one donation can save up to three lives. (Smithtown Patch)
- What will you do on the first day of 2023? If you want to do something different or like to be in contact with nature, join thousands of New Yorkers and participate in the 12th annual First Day Hikes.
