Former Smithtown resident Carl Caputo has died. He was 92 years old.
According to a Florida Today obituary, theĀ St. John's University graduate passed away March 21 inĀ Micco, FL. CaputoĀ was in the Army Air Corp in WWII, worked for the Grumman Corporation for more than 41 years, and retired in 1983. The obituary states Caputo was an avid softball and tennis player.
