1. New Suffolk County coal-fired pizzeria, cocktail bar is an instant hit! 1653 Pizza Company opened its doors in Huntington in June. The restaurant is located at 80 Gerard St.

2. Man steals bicycle from Lake Grove store: Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said stole a bicycle worth thousands of dollars from a Lake Grove shop. (Smithtown Patch)

4. Theatre Three to hold open auditions for 'A Christmas Carol'. Theatre Three, located at 412 Main St., Port Jefferson will hold young people’s auditions (ages 12 to 17) for its 37th annual production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Tues., Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. They will be double-casting nine roles (for a total of eighteen young people).
