- The Smithtown Patch would like to congratulate Commack Middle School social studies teacher Christopher Boundy, for completing a 26-mile Ice Marathon in Antarctica! The event was held on Dec. 15. This is a milestone for Boundy, who participated in running events in each of our 50 states. If you are curious about the Ice Marathon, you can visit here. (Smithtown Matters)
- Nesconset Paws of War and the Unsung Siblings Foundation joined forces to ensure our veterans would have a merry Christmas. Both local institutions distributed gift baskets on Wednesday night. Each attendee took home some goodies, treats for their puppies and gift cards. (News 12 Connecticut)
