Here are the top four stories in Smithtown today:

1. The Smithtown Patch would like to congratulate Commack Middle School social studies teacher Christopher Boundy, for completing a 26-mile Ice Marathon in Antarctica! The event was held on Dec. 15. This is a milestone for Boundy, who participated in running events in each of our 50 states. If you are curious about the Ice Marathon, you can visit here. (Smithtown Matters)
2. Nesconset Paws of War and the Unsung Siblings Foundation joined forces to ensure our veterans would have a merry Christmas. Both local institutions distributed gift baskets on Wednesday night. Each attendee took home some goodies, treats for their puppies and gift cards. (News 12 Connecticut)
