Commencement Speaker Chosen For Smithtown High School West Graduation

SMITHTOWN, NY — Charlotte Muratore, a senior at Smithtown High School West, was selected by her classmates as the Senior Class Honor Speaker for the High School West 2025 graduation, the Smithtown School District announced.

Chosen by her fellow Gold Cord recipients, this honor reflects her outstanding academic achievements, leadership and the respect of her peers.

"I was honored and surprised to be chosen as the honor speaker," Muratore said in a news release. "I thought everyone who was nominated would have done an amazing job but I was really happy my classmates chose me."

Muratore is co-president of the National Honor Society and vice president of Competitions for DECA. She has been a member of the varsity soccer, winter track and lacrosse team for all four years of high school.

The Smithtown High School West graduation is scheduled for June 26.
