Crime Report: Man Confronted by Homeowner During Robbery

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown and Hauppauge.
Police said Anthony Corria, 27, of Centereach, was arrested on Feb. 4 in Smithtown on a second-degree burglary charge, a felony, and a fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property charge, a misdemeanor. According to police, Corria entered a home with the intent to steal and then fled the home when confronted by the homeowner. Corria allegedly left the home wearing a gold-tone Michael Kors watch that did not belong to him.
Kieran Finnegan, 49, of Flanders, was arrested in Hauppauge on Jan. 30 on an operator leaving the scene of property damage charge, a misdemeanor. According to police, Finnegan was involved in a crash with a 2007 Hyundai while driving a 2011 Mazda and did not provide proper paperwork to the other driver and didn't report the collision.Â
