  1. Police continue investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Motor Parkway in Commack. According to police, the driver was speeding near Shinbone Lane, lost control of the car and crashed into a utility pole around 4 a.m. on Thursday. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. If you have any information about this incident, please call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452. (Smithtown Matters)
  2. A new place to get goodies fresh from the oven is heading to town. Crumbl Cookies Bakery is opening a new location at 47 Route 111 in Smithtown. The eatery is well known for its unique chocolate chip cookies and other treats to please all "taste buds." Visit the company's website to check its menu. (Daily Voice)
  3. Nearby News: A Suffolk cop brutally attacked during an operation in Medford is expected to survive. The 26-year-old officer was hooked on life support equipment at the Stony Brook Hospital.   4. A new bill may be passed due to George Santo's case to help prevent future office-seekers from lying. The bill proposes that candidates present their educational history and background under oath. Punishment would be given to the ones who fabricate information to be elected. (Patch)
