East Lacrosse Star Makes Max Preps' Top 25 Player List

John Daniggelis is one of nine New York players to make the nationwide list.

A Smithtown High School East sophomore has landed on Max Preps' Top 25 high school lacrosse players from across the country for 2013.

Midfielder John Daniggelis landed on this year's list, one of nine New York players to do so.

"Breakout performances at several summer showcases have made this hard-nosed and athletic two-way talent, also the quarterback on the varsity football team, a priority target of many of the nation’s top programs," writer Joe Lombardi stated in the Max Preps report.

Daniggelis is one of the many lauded lacrose players to come from either Smithtown High School East and Smithtown High School West, two schools to produce some of the nation's top players including former West standout and current Duke University player Kyle Keenan, former West attack and current player on the University of Virginia squad James Pannell, and Cornell University star and first overall draft pick for the Long Island Lizards Robert Pannell.
