  1. Town of Smithtown officials are alleging Richard Albano tried to rent part of his Ebo Hill mansion in Smithtown illegally. According to the town attorney Albano advertised the rental of an illegal apartment attached to the property at Edgewood Avenue in Smithtown in July, which violates the town's code. The case was brought to court, and Richard pleaded not guilty. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
  2. Shatia Parker was arrested Saturday for using her elderly customer credit card in seventeen grocery store purchases in Smithtown. The senior citizen's family noticed the transactions after closely looking at the receipts. Shatia had her professional resume on the website care.com. (Smithtown Patch)

Smithtown Sweetbriar is inviting the community to Jingle and Mingle at the Holiday Party for Wildlife on Saturday, Dec. 10, from Noon to 3 p.m. The kids will have the chance to take pictures and crafts and to see the residents doing short performances.
