- The Smithtown Historical Society announced the date for its annual Garden Party Brunch. The event is scheduled for Aug. 19 to support the animals living there. - Suffolk Police reported that eight catalytic converters were stolen from eight buses that serve the Smithtown Senior Center. The unfortunate news came on Tuesday when authorities received a 911 call at 8 a.m. (LI News 12)
- The 45th Annual Kings Park Day Town Fair is June 17. The community will offer lots of outdoor fun and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street. The event also features over 250 crafts, gifts, and food vendors. (Smithtown Matters)
- No more distracted driving for teens in Commack! A group of students hosted a program encouraging their peers to drive safely. The event was inspired after the district and community lost a group of teens in a car accident in 2020. (News 12 Long Island)
- Whisper Woods of Smithtown is now part of the ranking of the Best Assisted Living in the country. U.S. News & World Report shared the good news in its annual Best Senior Living ratings published this week. (TBR News Media)
