🌱 Eight Buses Damaged In Smithtown + Brunch In The Garden Summer 2023

Here are the top five stories in Smithtown today:

1. The Smithtown Historical Society announced the date for its annual Garden Party Brunch. The event is scheduled for Aug. 19 to support the animals living there. 2. Suffolk Police reported that eight catalytic converters were stolen from eight buses that serve the Smithtown Senior Center. The unfortunate news came on Tuesday when authorities received a 911 call at 8 a.m. (LI News 12)
3. The 45th Annual Kings Park Day Town Fair is June 17. The community will offer lots of outdoor fun and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Main Street. The event also features over 250 crafts, gifts, and food vendors. (Smithtown Matters)
4. No more distracted driving for teens in Commack! A group of students hosted a program encouraging their peers to drive safely. The event was inspired after the district and community lost a group of teens in a car accident in 2020. (News 12 Long Island)
5. Whisper Woods of Smithtown is now part of the ranking of the Best Assisted Living in the country. U.S. News & World Report shared the good news in its annual Best Senior Living ratings published this week. (TBR News Media)
