Subway's Smithtown-Kings Park Border Location to Open in 2 Months

Construction and electrical workers at the soon-to-be-home to Subway Restaurant on the Smithtown-Kings Park border confirmed Friday that the eatery could be open in as soon as two months. 

The workers from T.R.C. Electric were working at the scene late Friday afternoon and said the work on the 1217 Route 25A location, the former home to Ji Sushi & Chinese Food, began last Monday.

The sushi and Chinese restaurant removed all of its appliances and furniture from its storefront on the Smithtown-Kings Park border next to the Kings Park Animal Hospital in October of last year after being closed since August.

Signs announcing Subway's arrival were posted mid February on the front windows and rear door of the store.

There are five other Subway locations in the area: 56 Main Street in Kings Park, 173 Smithtown Bypass in Smithtown, 1020 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown, 140 East Main Street in Smithtown, and 745 Middle Country Road in Saint James.
