- The Fountaingate Gardens Independent Living complex in Commack is now open. The Gurwin Healthcare System hosted a celebration. Around $115 million was invested in the new facility, which features 129 luxury apartments for seniors. (TBR News Media)
- Knights of Columbus Church is hosting a weekend clothing drive in November. Adult and children's clothes will be distributed on Nov. 12-13 at 9 a.m. on both days. Donations are still being accepted. The church is at 44 Church St. in Kings Park. (Patch Events)
- LI Toddler Play and Learn is hosting a free Halloween event with music, art and activities for children in the Smithtown community. Miss Lora's Tots starts at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 31. at 100 Lake Avenue South in Nesconset. (All Events)
- The Smithtown Historical Society is just twelve days away from being lit with the Suffolk Winter Lantern Festival.
