The 3-year-old domestic shorthair sisters will "captivate everyone with their bewitching beauty and warm the heart."

SMITHTOWN, NY — Tomi and Sprinkles, 3-year-old domestic shorthair sisters, are the Smithtown Animal Shelter's Pets of the Week.
"They came from a loving home until their owner’s circumstances changed, and could no longer care for her two precious girls," the shelter wrote. "Despite facing this hardship, Tomi and Sprinkles remain incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of love to share."
This feline pair will "captivate everyone with their bewitching beauty and warm the heart with endearing charm," according to the shelter.

"Their love for one another is evident, especially when you find them snuggling together in a cozy spot after a long day of play," the shelter stated. "They enjoy sharing their warmhearted nature with people and will gladly accept gentle pets and chin scratches. These girls are perfect companions and will bring a lifetime of joy and cherished memories to one lucky family."
Tomi and Sprinkles are sisters who have never been separated and would do best if adopted together, the shelter wrote.

"They are healthy and would thrive in a quiet home with older children and possibly calm pets."

"If you are looking for a fun-loving, yarn-tossing ball of love, stop by the Kitten Nursery or the Cat Condos at the Smithtown Animal Shelter and find a PURR-fect soulmate or two," the shelter stated.
All of the felines at the shelter are current on vaccines and have received a full workup (blood work, Feline HIV & Leukemia tested, physical exam etc.) by a board-certified veterinarian.
Hours are currently Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays and Wednesday evenings are by appointment only.
The Smithtown Animal Shelter's primary concern is finding the perfect home for each animal that finds his/her way to it. The Animal Control Officers and kennel attendants at the Smithtown Animal Shelter will go out of their way to ensure both the rescued and rescuer are made for one another. If you have other pets, you can arrange to bring your four-legged family member into the shelter or they can set up an at-home meet & greet to see how your prospective new addition does with other family members, pets or the household itself.
The shelter is also seeking foster volunteers. Foster parents provide temporary care for cats, kittens and dogs in their own homes. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for an extended time.
