Just a friendly reminder that the Catholic Health Services Screening outreach bus will be parked at the Smithtown Public Library- Commack building today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. offering free health screenings and tests.   3. Students of the Nesaquake Middle School in St. James received a special visit. Long Island Paralympian, Rohan Murphy, a motivational speaker, shared his message and story with the kids. Visit the link to see a picture of his visit. (Smithtown Patch)
  4. A 33-year-old man from East Northport was arrested on Saturday night under Leandra's Law Charges. He crashed into the rear of another vehicle at the intersection of Elwood and Pulaski Road in East Northport with his 11-month-old daughter in his car. The baby was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated. No serious injuries were reported. (HuntingtonNow)

  • A special ceremony was held for 150 Long Island National Guard soldiers departing to serve in Kuwait. They will be sent off for service for eleven months. The farewell ceremony was hosted at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Ronkonkoma. (LI News 12)
  • "A two-vehicle crash Three people were hospitalized, one with serious injuries, after a two-vehicle crash on the Northern State Parkway." (Daily Voice)
  • Multiple vendors will be at the St. James Episcopal Church on Saturday, Jan. 28, for an antique sale. Kathy Hart hosts the event. Books and things will be available at great prices from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 490 North Country Road in St. James. (Patch)
