  1. Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta is asking for the community's help to donate to the Smithtown Coat Drive. The Smithtown-based SMM Advertising and the Retired Senior Volunteer Programs support the event, who give out warm clothes for those in need. If you want to donate, bring a coat, hat, gloves and other winter clothing to Trotta’s office, at 59 Landing Avenue, Suite 1, in Smithtown from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday- Friday. (Smithtown Matters)
  2. Kings Park Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual holiday party on Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. The venue is Lessings which is inside the Smithtown Landing Country Club.   3. Starbucks workers protested for better wages and fixed schedules. Over 100 coffee stores went on strike on Thursday. In some spots, baristas gave out red cups with the union logo instead of the traditional holiday cup designed by the company. (LI News12)
  4. The Smithtown East High School Craft & Gift Fair kicks off on Saturday, Dec. 3-4, in St. James. The indoor event features vendors offering holiday findings and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. The school is at School Street in St. James. (LI Events)

  • Have you started to decorate your home for Christmas? Just so you're aware, there are a lot of places to head out in the Smithtown and Commack area to get a freshly cut Christmas tree.
