How To Stay Cool During Heatwave In The Town Of Smithtown
Here is how to beat the heat in the township, as Long Island is set to experience several days of 90-degree temperatures.
TOWN OF SMITHTOWN, NY — With temperatures in the 90s expected for the next week, the Town of Smithtown announced a few ways it will help residents beat the heatwave.
The town has extended its pool hours until 7 p.m. through Sunday at the Smithtown Landing Country Club, at 495 Landing Ave., Smithtown.
The town's parks and spray parks are open until dusk during summer.

The town has water parks at:
- Charles P.Toner/Armory Park, at 148 Smithtown Blvd., Nesconset.
- Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve, at 200 New Highway, Commack.
- Veterans Memorial Park, on Moriches Road, St. James.
