The beloved fundraiser of the Smithtown Children’s Foundation is back! On Wednesday, November 19th (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM) at the Watermill Caterers in Smithtown, you’re invited to the annual Community Table Grand Tasting - an elegant evening of culinary delights, community spirit, and generous giving. Here’s what makes this event must-attend, based on past highlights and this year’s promise:

Culinary Tour de Force

Guests at previous Community Table events have been treated to dozens of tastes from the finest restaurants, caterers, and bakeries across Long Island. Expect this year to deliver just the same rich flavors, beautifully presented bites, and the joy of discovering new favorites in a strolling-banquet format. Culinary contributions from Castaways Steak & Seafood, Level Up Kitchen, Husk & Vine Kitchen & Cocktails, Brooklyn’s Best Baking Company & Café are just a taste of who is participating this year.

Open Bar + Specialty Tasting Experiences

In addition to exceptional food, an open bar service spanning several hours and a curated tasting experience from local beverage purveyors. This year also promises spirited tastings and elevated beverage pairings. New to the event this year are A New Day A New Rosé, 39th Parallel Whiskey, Springbrook Hollow Distillery, and Galiano Wine Bar & Restaurant.

Live Entertainment & Networking

The ambiance of the evening has always been more than just food. Live music by the Musicology Performance Center All-Stars will set the celebratory mood. In the Mood Entertainment has donated a photo both and new this year – two blackjack tables!

The Grand Tasting is also a terrific chance to mingle with local business leaders, community members, and fellow supporters of the SCF’s mission.

Raffles, Awards & Community Recognition

It’s not just about indulgence; it’s about impact. Raffles and auctions add a fun competitive edge while raising funds for families in crisis. With nearly 100 gift baskets and silent auctions prizes to bid on, everyone is always overwhelmed by the generosity of Markar Jewelers of Smithtown.

Marker Jewelry owner Agapi Karas has provided a Luxury Raffle to the SCF Community Table since its inception in 2016. “I love that the Smithtown Children’s Foundation is helping people in our community.” states Karas who lives and owns her business in Smithtown, “I know where the effort and funds are going. You are helping people in need within the community right when they need it the most.” Karas also attends the event were she happily partakes in the tastings and raffles with her team and often looks forward to seeing the reaction of the winner of Markar’s donation.

This year’s 1st prize Luxury Raffle is a14K white gold pink tourmaline stone with 1.30cts diamonds retailing at $3,650 from Markar Jewelers of Smithtown.

Additionally, the Foundation takes time each year to recognize “unsung heroes” in the community — such as in 2024 when Smithtown’s fire departments were honored with the Inspirational Community Leader Award.

Purpose-Driven Giving

Every year, more than 300 attendees gather creating an evening of joy that supports a serious cause. All proceeds from the Community Table Grand Tasting will go toward the Smithtown Children’s Foundation’s mission of providing support, resources, and opportunities to individuals and families in the local community.
