  1. There is still time to see the Smithtown Historical Society “Suffolk Winter Lantern Festival.” The outdoor exhibit is on display until Jan. 8.   4. Nearby News: On Wednesday night, a pedestrian was seriously injured on Dare Road in Selden. An 18-year-old man was riding his electric bike when a vehicle hit him and fled from the scene.
