Lemon Leaf Closes its Doors [Empty in Smithtown]

Lemon Leaf, the Thai restaurant that took over the former home to the Korean barbecue restaurant Genghis Khan on Smithtown's Main Street, has closed.
The restaurant opened in July of last year.
“We get a lot of takeout and delivery business, it is more popular than dining," Lemon Leaf waitress Jin Ho told Patch days after opening.

The second Thai restaurant to open on Main Street, just up the road from longtime Thai restaurant Thai House, took the former Genghis Khan home after owner Eric Chang said his business outgrew its location.

“It’s a little small for us, we have a tiny seating room … We are planning to move to a bigger place,” Chang said.

According to the business listing on MLSLI.com, the location is roughly 1,500 square feet in size, with 1,626 square feet available in parking.
