Long Island Community Foundation Names Smithtown Resident as Chair

Patricia Galteri has been elected to the Long Island Community Foundation as chair to its Board of Advisors.

The Long Island Community Foundation, an organization that promotes philanthropy and community building throughout Long Island, has named Smithtown resident Patricia Galteri as chair to its Board of Advisors.

According to a statement from the foundation, Galteri, the current chair of the Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C.’s Trusts and Estates law practice, was elected to help carry out the foundation mission of enhancing the well-being of the people and communities of Long Island.

Galteri, a Hofstra University School of Law graduate, is a former chair for the Tax Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Bi-County Committee of Attorneys and Accountants. She currently serves on the board for the Nassau County Estate Planning Council and the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Gift Planning Advisory Committee.
