A Long Island Down Syndrome Advocate To Be Featured On NBC Show
Brittany's Baskets of Hope founder, advocate Brittany Schiavone, will be gifted a home improvement project on "George to the Rescue."

LAKE GROVE, NY —Brittany Schiavone from Lake Grove and her family will be on NBC's "George to the Rescue" later this month. The home improvement show and its host designer George Oliphant visits people who are making a difference in their community to thank them with a home improvement project.
Schiavone founded Brittany's Baskets of Hope in 2014. The nonprofit was her brainchild, a way to help support parents expecting babies with Down Syndrome.
"I want to meet moms that are having babies with Down Syndrome and let them know it's going to be okay."
