  2. Robert Porter from Kings Park Man was arrested for burglarizing multiple businesses in Smithtown. In the last three months, Porter broke into fourteen businesses. The arrest was made at First Avenue in Bay Shore. (Smithtown Matters)
  3. Chef Maria will be at the Kings Park building of the Smithtown Public Library on Aug. 25 to host the "Mexican Street Tacos and Salsa Verde" culinary class.   4. Councilmembers of Smithtown voted on Tuesday about the lawsuit Elaine Aponte filed against the town. The case was filed after a steer attacked Point at the Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve in Commack.
