Man Fails To Pay For Cell Phone Repair At Smith Haven Mall: Police

The man ran away after his phone was repaired and is wanted for theft of services, police say.

LAKE GROVE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, stole from a Lake Grove business in June 2024.

A man had his cell phone repaired at a kiosk in the Smith Haven Mall and ran off without paying for the services at approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 26, 2024, police said. He is wanted for theft of services, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
