Man On Scooter Killed In Suffolk Crash: Police
The scooter rider was crossing a roadway when he was hit by a Dodge Ram, police say.
NESCONSET, NY — A man was killed while riding a scooter when he was hit by a vehicle on Monday night in Nesconset, Suffolk police said.
A 40-year-old Lake Grove man was driving a 2018 Dodge Ram ProMaster City westbound on Route 347 when he struck Paul Harrison, 54, of Hauppauge, who was riding an electric scooter across the intersection of Southern Boulevard around 9:20 p.m., police said.
Harrison was pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Hospital. The Dodge Ram driver was not injured, police said.

The Dodge and the scooter were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on the crash was asked to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
