Margaret Squicciarini, 'The Cat Lady,' Dies

Nesconset resident Margaret Squicciarini has died. She was 74 years old.

According to the Newsday obituary, Squicciarini, also known as "The Cat Lady" in Nesconset, died on Sept. 27. Squicciarini was the mother to John and Joseph; sister to Teresa, Jessica, Peter and Mauro; and grandmother to Emma, Joseph, Olivia, Chloe, Johnny, Henry and Bridget.

A religious service was held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Moloney's Lake Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Lake Ronkonkoma, and the funeral mass was held Monday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Patrick's R.C. Church in Smithtown.
