1. A Long Island man suspect in a murder case was apprehended in Florida on Sunday morning. Police arrested him during a traffic stop on a passenger bus. Read the whole story here. (Patch)

3. FDNY retired firefighter Michael O'Connell visited the Smithtown High School East and West schools to share his experiences during his work on Sept. 11, 2001. 5. A Kings Park resident discovered bones in his yard on Sunday afternoon. The remains were taken to be tested by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office to be tested and confirm if they were human or animal remains. (Smithtown Patch)
