Moe's to Open Thursday

The eatery, located on Route 111 in Smithtown, will be open seven days a week.

A new eatery will make its Smithtown debut Thursday.

Moe’s Southwest Grill, which took over the former home to , located at 77 Route 111 near  and , will open its doors to the public at 11 a.m. 

Owner Bill Mullaney, a Sayville resident who worked in nearby Commack at the Hampton Inn, said this is the premier location for the eatery.

“[It’s] a big location, it’s a nice location, it’s in the middle of everything, really – Hauppauge High School, Smithtown East, Smithtown West, it’s right next to [Route] 25A and it’s on [Route] 111, a very, very busy street,” he said. 

Moe’s is a quick-serve eatery that specializes in southwestern style cuisine. Mullaney said he expects the core demographic of the restaurant to consist of high school students and small families.

The staff, according to Mullaney, largely consists of Town of Smithtown residents.

Moe's hours of opertion are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
