Move Sinks Former Lake Avenue Pool Store [Empty in Smithtown]

When Best Pool Service moved it took over a vacant St. James storefront, but in doing so it left it's former home vacant.      

The building at 448 Lake Avenue was the former home to the pool company and is now empty. Instead, Best Pool Service now occupies half of the storefront located at 543 Lake Avenue. 

The stand-alone building is part of a strip of two commercial buildings that is up for sale, listed on MLSLI.com at a price of $770,000. The strip consists of four total rentals: three commercial spaces, which one is currently occupied by , and one residential rental.

James Best, owner of Best Pool Service, that the move up Lake Avenue was due to the business outgrowing the location.

“I do think it’s going to be good for us, we outgrew this place three years ago,” Best said. “I think moving will take us to the next level, this way we’ll have a better view for the customer to look at because we’re kind of cramped here.”
