  2. Police arrested a mother for leaving a 4-year-old child unattended in the car at a 711 located at E. Jericho Turnpike on Saturday evening. The car wasn't running. A concerned pedestrian called 911, and later on, Maricela Avila was arrested and charged accordingly. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Police sought two men for using a stolen credit card at a Speedway on Jericho Turnpike in Commack. The duo was seen leaving the gas station in a dark SUV. Smithtown Tender Years Treasure will welcome kids in our community with cookie decorating, balloon sculpture, crafts, food and shopping stations with gifts crafted by the Smithtown Recreation and Senior Citizens Department.   • Smithtown’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Town Hall. From 5 to 6:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy live music, school district students' performances, treats, and a special visit from Santa Claus!
