  1. Sunday, June 25, will be the day to enjoy an outdoor Summer Concert at Hoyt Farm in Commack. Long Island-based band Naked Truth takes on the stage at 7 p.m. This is a free event open for all ages. The farm is located at 200 New Highway in Commack. (Smithtown Gov.)
  2. Two Commack men are facing second-degree manslaughter plus other charges for their alleged involvement in a speed race car that resulted in the death of a pedestrian. The incident happened on Nov. 19, 2022, on Jericho Turnpike. Pedestrian James Beck from Huntington was fatally struck while crossing the road. (Patch)
