The signs that summer is approaching are steadily emerging – first, the weather gets unseasonably warm, and now the Smithtown summer staple has signs posted stating they are set to re-open.
The North Country Road eatery is set for a re-opening date of March 30.
Nick's has garnered a reputation as a favorite of locals since it opened in 1969. In a , three Smithtown Patch readers praised the food at Nick's.

"Nick's Pizza and Clam Bar has GREAT pizza!!!" said reader Laura Zimmerman. "Nicks pizza & clam bar really does have a great pie! Especially the sicilian :)" added Steph. Â

"When I was growing up just down the road from there in the 70s, Nick's was a great convenient place where we would get our family pizza ... I can still hear the immortal words of Nick's wife Marie shouting out: 'Enjoy the pie!'" Patch reader Kyle said in the comments section.Â
