- A board meeting was held to review and decide on the 186-foot dock proposal to be built at Stony Brook Harbor. The discussion was held at the Nissequogue Village Hall in St. James. The Smithtown Patch will inform readers of that decision as soon the board announces the results. (Smithtown Matters)
- Smithtown Township Arts Council presents the art of Muriel Musarra will be displayed at Apple Bank of Smithtown. The exhibit is open to the public during the bank’s regular hours, which are Monday -Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (TBR News Media)
- Smithtown Public Library announced the cancelation of the Train Trip to New York City scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10. The cancellation is due to the lack of registrations which is a minimum of thirty participants. (Smithtown Public Library)
- Canadian retailer, Showcase, is now serving Long Islanders at its new location at Smith Haven Mall. The new spot has a variety of exclusive items, from gifts to candy and drinks, at the North Wing, across from Yankee Candle. (Patch)
